Beyond Broadway is committed to diversity and inclusivity in its casting and production process. As such, there is a zero tolerance policy for harassment, racism, sexism, or anything of the kind.
To be additionally explicit and intentional in this policy, there are further expectations that will be addressed below in detail.
All issues as they occur will be directly brought to Resident PSM Zach Wetzel. If an actor or any member of the team is experiencing problematic behavior, this will be reported to Zach in a timely fashion and documented. As needed, these matters may be escalated to other members of the team.
It is essential to get all sides of the story. Opportunities to communicate openly and honestly will be honored, so that everyone feels respected. Behavior such as defamation or an unwillingness to cooperate in the process of reconciliation will not be tolerated.
Individuals who disrupt the professional process or who make it difficult for others to do their jobs will be issued a warning. Repeated violations will result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the contract and from the company.
There is to be no conduct that makes another person uncomfortable. We all have different comfort levels. We believe that when someone asks a boundary to be respected, team members need to follow through with that request. Again, all issues and incidents may be brought to the Resident PSM.
To be specific, behaviors Beyond Broadway will not tolerate include, but are not limited to: gossip, personal insults, harassment (verbal or physical), sexism, racism, inappropriate political comments, jokes or language that offend others and continue after a party has requested the behavior stop, actors giving notes to each other, arguing with management, or management using their position inappropriately.Â
We are a Team and the purpose of all activity with this Team is to create a solid and professional work product. Anything that interferes with this purpose is not welcome.
Beyond Broadway prides itself in being inclusive and diverse, and this comes first. People's feelings come first and must be validated. Cast and crew coming forward with concerns will always be heeded.
